Why Broadbandplans.com.au?
Broadbandplans.com.au creation came when the founding director was trying to source the best broadband plan for trading shares online with the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).
He had criteria that needed to be filled, one being a fast download speed for the live ASX data to be downloaded in real-time. This would enable instant trading and not be waiting for the traditionally slow dialup connection.
Secondly, he required a high download limit as the information he was accessing using the online trading program was a continuous stream of information updating every second. He nearly got caught out here, as some plans although they have a cheaper monthly fee also have excess download fees and if you go over the monthly download limit your monthly bill can become surprisingly dearer.
Thirdly, it was the cost of the broadband plan & trying to compare Internet Service Providers was becoming a daunting task and one to walk away from.
